Last updated: 2 May 2026
PuzzlePath provides digital clue-based trail experiences. This policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Who We Are
PuzzlePath is based in the UK. If you have questions about this policy or your data, contact us at support@puzzlepath.co.uk.
What Data We Collect
We only collect data needed to provide and improve PuzzlePath. This may include:
- Email address: used for purchase receipts, sign-in links, access checks, and customer support.
- Account information: if you create an account, we store the account details needed to let you sign in and access your trails.
- Gameplay data: trail progress, answers, scores, hints used, completed trails, and related activity needed to run the experience.
- Location data: only when you use outdoor trails that need your location to unlock or verify parts of the trail. Your browser will ask for permission before sharing location data.
We do not collect sensitive personal data. We do not store your card details.
How We Use Data
We use personal data to:
- Provide PuzzlePath gameplay and remember your progress.
- Process payments and confirm access to paid trails through Stripe.
- Send transactional emails such as receipts or sign-in links.
- Respond to customer support requests.
- Protect PuzzlePath from misuse and keep the service working reliably.
Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe. Stripe handles payment details directly and may process your data under its own privacy policy. PuzzlePath receives payment confirmation and basic transaction information needed to provide access and support.
Third-Party Services
We use trusted service providers to operate PuzzlePath:
- Stripe: payment processing, receipts, and payment status.
- Firebase: authentication, data storage, and service infrastructure.
These providers process data only as needed to provide their services to PuzzlePath.
Data Retention
We keep personal data for as little time as reasonably needed to provide PuzzlePath, keep purchase records, support users, and meet legal or tax obligations. Gameplay and account data may be deleted or anonymised when it is no longer needed.
Your UK GDPR Rights
Under UK data protection law, you may have the right to ask us to:
- Give you access to the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Delete your personal data where we no longer need it or have no legal reason to keep it.
To make a request, email support@puzzlepath.co.uk. We may need to verify your identity before acting on your request.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data. No online service can be guaranteed completely secure, but we work to keep the amount of data we hold minimal and protected.
Changes To This Policy
We may update this policy as PuzzlePath develops. If we make important changes, we will update this page and revise the date above.
